Podolševa, a small settlement which accompanied by the village of Solčava and the three glacial valleys (Logar Valley, Robanov kot and Matkov kot) constitutes the Solčava Region, lies under the Olševa mountain ridge at an altitude of 1,020m to 1,327m. The settlement is considered one of the highest in Slovenia.
Particularly famous is the Church of the Holy Spirit located in the settlement centre. The Church is an integral element in the Solčava panoramic road, and is the perfect starting point for hikers heading towards the Potočka zijavka cave at the top of Mt. Olševa.
